A Way in 2016

"My child, remember that you received what was good during your lifetime while Lazarus likewise received what was bad; but now he is comforted here, whereas you are tormented."

Every Lenten Season, a Parish initiative Way of the Cross is being held during Tuesdays and Thursdays before Evening Mass.  There will be a specific area each day, and the stations will be 14 residences/houses within the location.  The chosen houses are approximately 1 to 3 blocks away from the next station.  I like doing the Way but I want to do it on my own.  Since today is a National Holiday, I was not able to woke up early in time for the morning mass.  I opt to attend the mass after the Way.  I checked the schedule and googled where the Mass was supposed to be held because I did not intend to join the group who will do the Way.  I went the supposed to be Mass location early to give more time in case I get lost (because I always do). I noticed that the place was not set up.  I panicked a bit and walk a little further.  There I saw the Parishioners who were at the 11th Station.  I have no choice but to join them because I want to attend the mass.

As I walked with them, I felt really blessed.  My timing to be there was perfect.  It was unexpected longer walk for me though.  And there was a bit of pain on my foot because of a wound.  But at the end of the day, I felt relieved because of what happened.

This experience made me realize that it must not matter how many hurtful experiences that I will face.  May those experiences make me stronger to endure whatever things that will happen,  And with God's grace, all those pains will go away and eternal happiness will come to me.
