For the greater glory of God

This is an artwork by Jean-Baptiste Oudry.

"Jesus said to his Apostles: Behold, I am sending you like sheep in the midst of wolves..."  Even long time ago, Jesus already foretold the Apostles that they will be facing a very challenging lives.  Imagine yourself as a sheep in front of those hungry wolves, that can be really scary.  What Jesus said to his disciples might be also for us in this time.  Maybe that is an explanation why most of the time I feel the difficulty enduring everything that is happening to me.  I tend to worry about everything because of so many things keep coming up.

Literally, a lamb can be easily devoured by wolf so it is understandable for the lamb to be frightened.  But Jesus has a follow up statement to not worry.  We must not worry too much about the hardships that we are facing.  Sometimes we may feel that we are about to give up and surrender to what we believe in.  As long as we put Christ in the midst of what we do, we will have the strength to surpass everything.  Similar to St. John Baptist De La Salle's prayer, "I will continue, O my God, to do all my actions for the love of you", let us do what we do for the love of God regardless of the challenges we have to face.
