Service is the shortened meaning of S in FSC.   As I promised, I will post the reflection of my brother for today's Gospel.  But before, I just want to share that I was able to hear 2 reflections today.  The first one left us the question, "How do we serve for the Lord?"  The second one is like serving like dying for God.

I was not able to reflect much because of my studies that is why I limit to reflecting just the Gospel.  Although my entry for this is not mine.  :D

LK 17:7-10

Jesus said to the Apostles:

“Who among you would say to your servant

who has just come in from plowing or tending sheep in the field,

‘Come here immediately and take your place at table’?

Would he not rather say to him,

‘Prepare something for me to eat.

Put on your apron and wait on me while I eat and drink.

You may eat and drink when I am finished’?

Is he grateful to that servant because he did what was commanded?

So should it be with you.

When you have done all you have been commanded, say,

‘We are unprofitable servants;

we have done what we were obliged to do.’”

My brother's:

"Parang trabaho sa kumpanya.  Bigay todo ang pagtratrabaho.  At dapat nga magpapasalamat na nagkaroon ng silbi sa kompanya at hindi paswelduhin.  Kapag nagtratrabaho, dapat para sa Panginoon.  Hindi dapat dadayain ang kumpanya lalo na sa oras ng trabaho.  Dapat binibigay ang best at hindi bara-barang basta-basta na trabaho.  Dapat isipin din ang kapakanan ng iba."

For me, I realized that I used to have that passion in serving.  I still enjoy doing it.  But the fire is not as high as before.  I pray that the remaining fire in me will increase the fuel.  And my God help me to endure and be strong.

To all the time that I served the Lord, I am grateful for that.  I am truly thankful that there were times in my life that I thought of others before myself.  I pray that I could do more of it.  And somehow make a decent but simple living out of it.  Basic lang kailangan ko.  Tirahan, pagkain, damit pag wala na, transportation, more education.
